From Ferrol
If the port of Ferrol is one of the destinations of your cruise you can use it as a gateway to Santiago de Compostela, a destination for pilgrims since the Middle Ages and one of the most important Christian pilgrimages together with Rome and Jerusalem. Hundred of thousands of pilgrims visit the city every year during the whole year. Both the cathedral, well known for being one of the largest and most beautiful in the whole of Europe, and the Old Town were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 in view of its urban beauty and monumental integrity, as well as the profound echoes of its spiritual significance.
TOURS 4 CRUISERS excursion to Santiago de Compostela is the best option to visit this city because of the short port time and the inconvenient public transportation schedules.
